Honestly, the Eagles new wordmark looks like if the Los Angeles Chargers and New York Jets fonts had a baby. I’m not sure how much thought went into the new piece of branding but the “minimalist” look is definitely sweeping through sports teams. ![]() Just like the old saying goes, “if its not broke, don’t fix it.” This is a football city and we demand greatness. I understand the fact that the old one does look a bit outdated and that the new design is definitely more simplistic but in terms of an upgrade, I’m not sure if I can say that. According to Berman, it’s just an update to the public facing media materials. No word on whether or not this will replace the logos in the end zones at Lincoln Financial Field or if will now be featured on the jerseys above the numbers. ![]() For those asking, here’s a comparison between the Eagles old wordmark and the new one unveiled today. It’s literally just the Eagles logo with some new font.
